Death Of A Believer
By Richard Shaw Brown
His Divine
Grace Srila Tamal Krishna Goswami Maharaj departed his body in the
holy land. Without pain, without fear, without loathing, without anything;
just gone in an instant! On death highway, Calcutta-Mayapur, India.
Some devotees ask "why did Lord Krishna not protect him?"
Protect him from what? fear? pain? loathing? Of course he was spared
all these dreaded things, killed instantly, without warning, on Death
Highway!
If we believe in the words of Sadhu & Shastra we will know that
the great TKG has attained his eternal place on the parikrama path
around Govardhana, in Goloka Vraja Loka! And he achieved this without
all the fanfare of the departure of Sri Druva Maharaj or Srila Haridas
Thakura; TKG was taken instantly by Lord Krishna!
Some say that TKG was this or that! Some were envious of him.
Lots of people tried to get TKG to fall down like so many others had
done; they wanted him to fall down IN ADVANCE! But he never did fall
down! He was a believer! He believed in Krishna, he believed in Srila
Prabhupada, and most importantly he believed in himself, and he was
always certain about his eternal relationship with Sri Sri Guru &
Gauranga! Always sure that he was Krishna's eternal servant.
Some people actually accuse TKG of the most heinous crime of Guru-hatya!?
They actually think that TKG murdered his beloved Spiritual Master!?
It is simply the most preposterous and offensive jati buddhi! And
some people also believe that Iraq had WMDs; some even believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny...
If someone were to attempt to harm Srila Prabhupada it would be OVER
TKG's DEAD BODY! That is more like the exact truth. Even some time
ago TKG had taken important esoteric lessons in Krishna Consciousness
from other venerable bhaktas, such as Prabhupada's dear friend Sri
Narayana Goswami Maharaj; but he was criticised by agents of maya
who forced him to show a material dualistic allegiance to Srila Prabhupada.
And to prove his loyalty he was forced to be seen as offending the
lotus feet of his dear well wisher Srila Narayana Maharaj.
But TKG never left the feet of Srila Prabhupada NOR Srila Narayana
Maharaj. He was the genuine "tough cookie;" right to the
end! TKG did NOT fall down. He did never fall from his belief in his
relationship with Krishna; nor did he fall from his duties as a spiritual
master, nor did he fail as a disciple; nor did he suffer, nor did
he fear; nor did he loath; with 0 pain TKG was taken like a bolt of
lightning! Gone in an instant, the twinkling of an eye, back to Godhead,
Lord Krishna, the Protector of His devotees!
